Productions
Our current strategy at the Madcap Theatre is three productions per year:- March, June / July, and November / December. In the past we put on at least two productions a year, usually one (often a pantomime) during the February half-term holiday and one in late spring / early summer. Moving to the Madcap has enabled us to expand our schedule.
In addition we take part in various local festivals and events, as well as the Bedfordshire Drama Festival.
As can be seen from The Archive we have covered a wide range of plays over the years. We try to find challenging works which are out of the usual and yet we have to balance this with needing to produce plays with audience appeal. Getting "Bums on Seats" is a necessity for any Amateur Drama group!

Cinderella
Magic, music, mayhem and mirth - it is pantomime time again.
Join us as we re-tell the traditional story of kindly Cinderella and her impoverished household. There will be a pair of very ugly sisters, a love-lorn prince and his amiable side-kick Dandini plus the fairiest of godmothers and a pumpkin or two. And watch out too for the Baron, Baroness and Buttons, it is all packed into two hours of spectacle, singing and slapstick.
