Hello!!
Welcome to the web site of Tread the Boards, probably the friendliest amateur drama group in Milton Keynes. We are a well-established group that has been "Treading the Boards" of various stages in the Milton Keynes area since 1986. Here you will find a potted history of the group, details of our structure and ideas, our past productions and future plans.
As an ambitious group that wants to expand our dramatic horizons, we are always looking for new members to help us realise our ambitions.
Whether you are a raw beginner or experienced, whatever your interest; acting, backstage, sound, lights, etc., we would welcome you as a member.
Male Actors Wanted
At the present time we are particularly keen to increase our number of male actors. With three major productions in planning for next year, plus an entry in the Beds Drama Festival, we can promise you plenty to keep you involved!
Interested? - then why not come along to any of our regular Monday rehearsal sessions and see what we are all about. Full details are on our Membership page, or you can email us here.
Wanted - Volunteers!!
Have you some skills to share? We are always looking for volunteer helpers who can turn the ordinary into the extraordinary.
For this season's pantomime "Cinderella" we need help with costume, set building, electricals and painting. To find out more pop along to the Cinderella launch night on Monday September 1st from 7.45 pm to 10.00 pm at our Woburn Sands rehearsal venue. We will be reading through the script with a view to casting but also discussing the challenges - our fairy godmother might need a spot of help turning a pumpkin into a coach at the wave of a wand!
If you can't make that evening then just send us an email here with details of how you think you can assist us, and we will get straight back to you.
Cinderella in November
Details of this year's Panto, "Cinderella", are now on our Winter production page. Shirley Jones and Steve Allen have come up with a script that will be sure to have the audience rolling in the aisles, with lots of fun, songs, and spectacle for all the family.
Booking is now open, and full details are here together with links to the downloadable booking form.
Photo Archive
You will not find many photos on the site at present - not because we are shy, but simply that we are busy putting together 21 years of archive material. Watch this space (or more accurately, our Archive page).
